/Everyone every day gets 24 to spend. One thing is true. When we spend time on other people doing things that apparently are inefficient we’re doing something really important that is actually efficient. We’re spending time to demonstrate to the other person that we see them and that we value them. Spending time is a statement that has nothing to do with the information at the meeting. It’s information about your care and your presence. The shift to videoconference is important. It will save millions of oil and countless hours of time. But we need new conventions. The reason for a meeting is that we’re trying to say something beyond the words. What is missing in videoconferences is conventions.
